Hello! I have a passion for helping people feel the freedom of a good relationship with food, body and mind.
My clinical expertise includes eating disorders and mental health, bowel and gut health and intuitive eating. I also specialise in sports dietetics for endurance and team sport athletes.
I have been local to the Tweed and Gold Coast for over 20 years. I completed a Bachelor of Health Science in 2009, and a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics at Griffith University in 2011 where I majored in Sports Nutrition Research.
I have always loved food, but even more I value the freedom that comes from a healthy relationship with food. I am passionate about supporting people with mental health issues and eating disorders find the peace and joy that comes from feeling relaxed around food and comfortable in your own skin. I am a non-diet dietitian experienced in Intuitive Eating and a Health at Every Size advocate. I am also fascinated by the gut and the exciting research in this area. I work with a colorectal clinic and specialise in gut and bowel disorders such as IBS, IBS, diverticular disease and stomas. I find it incredibly rewarding to see the impact on life quality when gut health improves.
I have played many sports in my life (rugby, netball, basketball, tennis, swimming and dancing to name a few) and I believe in the power of movement as medicine for physical and mental health. As a sports dietitian I get a thrill from supporting athletes to train harder and perform at their best with optimal fueling and recovery nutrition. I see athletes from a range of sports and am very experienced with endurance athletes, team sports and swimmers.
If I sound like a good fit for you, I would love to hear your story.
