I’m Alex and I’d love to help turn your relationship with food, nutrition and your body into a positive one.

Hello! I’m Alexandria (but you can call me Alex) an accredited practicing dietitian and nutritionist. I like to consider myself as being quite the people person and I’m fairly certain I could talk under water. I know that for some of you coming to see a dietitian might be quite a scary or overwhelming experience but I’m here to tell you that my office is a relaxed and non-judgemental environment, we might even have a laugh!

I love working with young athletes (individual and team based), helping them to understand the fundamentals of sports nutrition and how they can best fuel their bodies as well as improve their performance. Growing up I played a netball, so have a lot experience in this area (Go Firebirds!) but I do work with athletes from other sports as well; swimming, soccer, rugby league and dancing just to name a few. I also have a strong passion for helping people through the treatment of an eating disorder; Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder as well as helping to repair disordered eating habits such as ‘Orthorexia’ or night-time eating.

I believe that all foods deserve a place in your life and no foods should be avoided (unless you have an allergy or intolerance) or labelled as ‘bad’. I have had a negative relationship with food and my body in the past, I understand that this can be exhausting and I hope that I am the person that can help turn your relationship with food and your body around. Collectively here at Eat Smart Nutrition our motto is ‘Real Life Results’. I want exactly that for each and every one of my patients, results that are real, for you and that fit into your lifestyle – there really is nothing more rewarding.
